Nutrition Classes (individual or group):

Understanding the basics of good nutrition is often a barrier for many when it comes to choosing food.  By adopting the ‘everything in moderation’ approach you will be able to enjoy a large and varied diet.

  • Understand how  choosing  unprocessed and wholefoods will enhance your health and wellbeing

I will come to your home, meet you at your office or group setting or you can come to my workplace. There you will also be treated to a ‘back to basics’ experience while you enjoy a walk through the organic vege patch, collect eggs from the chook tractor or wander through the paddock with the sheep and guinea fowl.

Personal nutritional counselling:

I will come to your home or office or you can come to my workplace.  Together, we will look at what you eat and why, as well as your behaviour and the emotional components that may keep you from optimal healthy eating. I will work with you to make a plan that fits into your daily life and enhances your health and wellbeing.

I offer email or phone support as follow up to cooking and coaching classes.  Each session entitles you to five (5) personal replies specific to your needs.

There will also be general weekly postings relevant to all areas of nutrition tuition.

Label reading and a visit to your local supermarket:

Choosing the best product for your needs can be both difficult and time consuming.  By understanding the labelling and packaging on food items, you will be able to shop with confidence and probably save money at the same time.

I will explain the basics of label reading and walk you through your local supermarket so you can learn make informed choices when you shop.

Kitchen makeover:

This makeover involves a session with me in your kitchen.  During this session, you and I will discuss your family needs and lifestyle.

Together we will:

  • learn to read food labels and discuss basic nutrition
  • check out your pantry items with your new label reading skills
  • plan a weekly menu based on family favourites
  • write lists for shopping, planning and preparation
  • discuss areas that could be changed for more efficiency e.g. food storage, bulk buying, advanced food preparation and kitchen set up
  • look at your cooking equipment and kitchen set up so that any future purchases can be made with confidence and knowledge

All advice is based on assisting you to incorporate healthier eating habits into your family lifestyle while saving you both time and money for other activities.
